Job summary

Southern Power is seeking an Engineer/Analyst to oversee financial, operational, and strategic performance of renewable assets, mainly solar and wind. You will track revenue, expenses, and asset profitability, while maintaining budgets and forecasts to optimize costs and revenue.

The role involves lifecycle optimization, due diligence for acquisitions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and high asset availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of power plant operations, project engineering, financial modeling, or asset management, preferably in renewables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Contract management experience.
• Management of multiple medium to large-scale projects, ensuring successful execution from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Track revenue, expenses, and asset profitability.
• Maintain awareness of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for assets.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings or revenue optimization.
• Maximize value and efficiency of renewable assets over their lifecycle.
• Monitor performance of renewable energy assets and coordinate with O&M teams for high availability.
• Support O&M contract development and ensure compliance with agreements.
