Job summary

Southern Power seeks an Engineer / Analyst – Renewable Asset Management to oversee the financial, operational, and strategic performance of solar and wind assets. You will work with finance, operations, and development teams to monitor revenue, costs, budgets, and forecasts, and to identify opportunities for efficiency and earnings growth.

The role includes asset optimization, lifecycle management, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders, with occasional travel to renewables facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Minimum 3 years in power plant operations, project engineering, financial modeling, or asset management.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Contract management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial, operational, and strategic performance of renewable assets (solar/wind).
• Track revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and asset profitability.
• Coordinate with O&M teams to ensure high availability and performance.
• Support due diligence for asset acquisitions and development projects.
• Produce performance reports and benchmark against industry standards.
