Job summary

Southern Power seeks an Engineer/Analyst – Renewable Asset Management to oversee the financial, operational, and strategic performance of solar and wind assets across the portfolio. You will monitor revenue, expenses, budgets, and forecasts, and drive opportunities for cost savings and revenue optimization.

Working with O&M, development, and finance teams, you will analyze performance data, prepare management reports, and support due diligence for acquisitions and new projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of power plant operations, project engineering, financial modeling, or asset management, preferably in renewables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Contract management experience.
• Management of multiple medium to large-scale projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Track revenue, expenses, and asset profitability.
• Maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Identify and implement cost savings or revenue optimization.
• Support due diligence of asset acquisitions and new development projects.
• Coordinate with O&M teams to ensure high availability and performance.
• Produce regular performance reports for stakeholders.
