Job summary

Southern Power is seeking an Engineer/Analyst to manage the financial, operational, and strategic performance of renewable assets (Solar & Wind). The role focuses on tracking revenue and expenses, managing budgets and forecasts, and identifying opportunities to optimize costs and revenue.

The position supports lifecycle optimization, due diligence for acquisitions, and coordination with O&M, finance, and engineering teams to maximize asset value and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• 3+ years of power plant operations, project engineering, financial modeling, or asset management, preferably in renewables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Contract management experience.
• Experience managing multiple medium to large-scale projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial, operational, and strategic performance of renewable assets (Solar & Wind).
• Track and analyze revenue, expenses, and asset profitability; monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Identify cost savings or revenue optimization opportunities.
• Support asset optimization, lifecycle planning, due diligence for acquisitions and development projects.
• Coordinate with O&M teams to ensure high availability and performance.
• Develop and manage KPI reporting and performance analytics for stakeholders.
