Job summary

Southern Power seeks an Engineer/Analyst in Renewable Asset Management to oversee financial, operational, and strategic performance of solar and wind assets. You will track revenue and expenses, maintain budgets and forecasts, and identify opportunities to reduce costs or improve revenue.

The role requires collaboration across O&M, finance, and project teams, supporting due diligence for acquisitions and new developments while monitoring asset performance and lifecycle plans to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in power/renewable asset management or related areas.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Contract management experience.
• Experience managing multiple medium to large projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze revenue, expenses, and asset profitability.
• Maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for assets.
• Identify cost savings and revenue optimization opportunities.
• Maximize asset value and predict lifecycle needs (upgrades, repowering, decommissioning).
• Coordinate with O&M teams to ensure high availability and performance.
• Develop and review performance reports for stakeholders and management.
