Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage the end-to-end payroll process for exempt and non-exempt staff on a biweekly basis. This role requires Workday expertise, accuracy in tax withholdings, and handling multiple state rules.

The position emphasizes internal controls, SOX compliance, and strong collaboration with HR and finance. The successful candidate will navigate year-end activities and respond to employee inquiries promptly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma AND
• Five (5) years of payroll experience INCLUDING
• Three (3) years of Workday payroll experience OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to clear required background check

Responsibilities

• End-to-end preparation and processing of biweekly payroll using Workday and OSV.
• Reconcile payroll from period to period.
• Calculate and review prorated wages and deductions for new hires or terminations.
• Ensure tax withholdings are accurate and understand reciprocity rules.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with SOX.
• Address employee inquiries via ticketing system with timely responses.
