Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Help Desk Technician to support an Alaska-based healthcare organization’s internal end users from Tallahassee, FL. This contract role offers evening hours and a fully remote work arrangement, aligned to Alaska business hours.

Responsibilities include Tier 1 support via phone, email, and ticketing systems, troubleshooting across hardware, software, AD and Exchange, and documenting resolutions while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous Help Desk or Desktop Support experience.
• Experience supporting users in an Active Directory environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to think critically and work through unique technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 technical support to internal users via phone, email, and ticketing systems
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, account access, and connectivity issues
• Support user administration and account management within Active Directory
• Assist with Microsoft Exchange-related support requests
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate while ensuring excellent customer communication
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate support records
