Job summary

Advanced Recovery Systems is seeking a Helpdesk Support Specialist to join our nationwide team. This remote role supports facilities and corporate offices, delivering Tier 1 IT support for Windows devices, Microsoft 365, and Avatar EHR, while safeguarding PHI per HIPAA.

You will work with facility leadership, manage IT tickets, deploy devices with Intune, and assist with network issues and security. On-call availability and occasional travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Windows 10/11 desktop support and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft 365 administration (Outlook/Teams/SharePoint).
• Active Directory user and group administration fundamentals.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
• HIPAA privacy and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical support via portal, phone, email, Teams, and walk-ups.
• Provide remote and on-site support to staff at facilities.
• Log, prioritize, and manage Help Desk tickets within established targets.
• Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 issues with Windows devices and peripherals.
• Administer accounts in AD/Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Provide first-level Avatar EHR user support and escalate as needed.
• Set up and deploy devices using Intune; maintain inventory.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Assist with remote access and connectivity issues (VPN, RDP).
• Protect PHI and confidential information per HIPAA.
• Document troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
• Participate in IT projects and site moves.
