Job summary

Network for Hope is seeking a part-time DSS Referral Coordinator to provide weekend coverage. You’ll handle referral intake and case management for organ, tissue, and eye donations, coordinating with hospital staff and documenting information.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong typing and data-entry skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and a high school diploma or equivalent. This remote role requires a private workspace and reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Must understand medical terminology and accurately document referrals.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent typing and data-entry skills essential.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage incoming organ, tissue, and eye donor referrals.
• Gather and accurately document required medical, clinical, and referral information.
• Manage active cases throughout your assigned shift, including follow-up and communication.
• Communicate with hospital and facility staff to obtain information and case updates.
• Complete preliminary donor screening and evaluation activities according to criteria.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in applicable electronic systems.
• Communicate pertinent case information to DSS and on-call team members.
• Escalate cases requiring additional evaluation or review.
• Support continuity of referral and case management across shifts.
