Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network in Illinois is seeking a night-shift referral coordinator to support organ, tissue, and eye referrals from donors and hospitals. You will manage pre-screening, coordinate logistics, document in systems, and maintain compliance while working a fixed 7 PM–7 AM schedule with alternating weekends.

This essential role requires medical terminology knowledge, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree in health- or science-related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience: ability to assess donor referrals under pressure and maintain HIPAA standards.
• Skills: strong communication, empathy, attention to detail, and data entry in multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Advance mission by coordinating donor referrals with healthcare partners.
• Collect pre-screening information and document according to policies.
• Evaluate referrals for donor eligibility and forward to eye banks as needed.
• Coordinate logistics and update stakeholders on referral status.
• Secure permissions from medical examiners as required.
• Work flexible night schedule with weekend rotation.
