Job summary

Network for Hope is seeking a part-time Donation Support Services (DSS) Referral Coordinator to provide dedicated weekend coverage. This role focuses on referral intake and case management, not family conversations or donation authorization.

Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday; Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Location: Fully Remote; 24 hours per week. Prior healthcare experience is helpful for joining a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical records is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent typing, data entry, communication, and multitasking skills are essential.
• Experience in healthcare call centers, EMS, nursing, medical assisting, social work, dispatch or similar healthcare environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage incoming donor referrals.
• Gather and document required medical, clinical, and referral information.
• Manage active cases during your shift with follow-up and updates.
• Communicate with hospital and facility staff for necessary information.
• Complete preliminary donor screening and evaluation activities.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in electronic systems.
• Escalate cases needing additional evaluation or review.
• Support continuity of referral and case management across shifts.
