Job summary

Smartling, an AI-native translation platform, is hiring a Web Integrations Support Engineer to join the Professional Services team. You will own customer tickets end to end, run troubleshooting sessions with customer engineering teams, and escalate with clear reproduction steps when a product fix is needed.

This remote-first role targets candidates in the Pacific and Mountain time zones and involves working with proxies, CDNs, web servers, and REST APIs to diagnose issues from logs and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role focused on troubleshooting, solution design or implementation.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and REST APIs.
• Strong skills with browser DevTools and network debugging, and understanding of how pages render in the browser.
• Knowledge of proxies, CDNs, web servers, DNS/TLS, caching, and web security basics (CSP, CORS, cookies, WAFs).
• Comfort with regular expressions and the ability to write scripts (JavaScript, Python or Bash).
• Experience diagnosing issues from logs and request traces (Quickwit, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk).
• Methodical, hypothesis-driven approach to complex problems.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, with the ability to advise and persuade both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to drive outcomes despite complexity, ambiguity or shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own customer tickets end to end with clear root-cause explanations and next steps.
• Run troubleshooting sessions and workshops with customer engineering teams.
• Escalate to Engineering with clear reproduction steps for product fixes.
• Build scripts and tooling to speed diagnosis and configuration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose sustainable solutions.
• Make controlled changes to live production configurations with testing and rollback plans.
• Communicate changes and rationale clearly to customers.
• Continuously learn about new web technologies and contribute to process improvements.
