Job summary

Smartling, an AI-native translation platform, is seeking a Solution Architect to lead enterprise-grade integrations and serve as a technical advisor within the Professional Services team. This remote-friendly role targets candidates in East/Central time zones and emphasizes scalable, sustainable solutions for customers.

You will gather requirements, design solutions, and guide implementations, while running workshops and promoting best practices to ensure long-term platform adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or in a similar customer-facing role that focuses on technical solution design and implementation.
• 2+ years of applied experience with modern web technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript), and REST APIs.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to advise/persuade technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to drive outcomes despite complexity, ambiguity or changing scope.
• Familiarity with at least one programming/scripting language and able to read/write scripts.
• A home office setup conducive for working remotely, and ability to work effectively as a remote team member.

Responsibilities

• Interact with both technical and business users to gather requirements, analyze information, and design comprehensive and scalable solutions.
• Effectively and proactively manage process changes with business and technical stakeholders to drive implementations forward.
• Lead workshops and troubleshooting sessions with customer technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Continuously articulate best practices to encourage optimal integration and platform adoption, laying the foundation for the long-term success of customers.
• Stay curious about new technologies, develop new tools, and contribute to process improvement.
