Job summary

AvonRisk seeks a Claims Supervisor based remotely in Texas to oversee a claims unit, coach specialists, and ensure compliance with Labor Code rules. The role supports performance evaluations and corrective actions while maintaining professional leadership standards.

Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will supervise claims specialists, conduct audits, and mentor staff to ensure timely, accurate handling of claims in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5+ years of progressive technical claim experience with ability to provide guidance on complex claim cases and negotiate settlements effectively.
• Ability to supervise, mentor and coach team members and provide regular performance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance reviews for all personnel within the assigned unit.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to all personnel.
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with applicable statutes and company rules.
• Conduct quarterly audits of open inventory to validate accuracy and identify process improvements.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments and manage personnel issues as they arise.
