The role emphasizes staff development through training, coaching, and performance evaluations, while providing technical guidance on complex claims issues and facilitating client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation required.
• Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation claims.
• State Certification or license as an experienced claims adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Supervises WC claims staff in day-to-day operations.
• Assists Claims Manager with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.
• Ensures staff compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Provides training, coaching and regular performance evaluations.
• Offers technical and jurisdictional guidance on complex claims issues.
• Acts as liaison for final resolutions with clients and employees.
• Participates in customer claim reviews and presentations.
• Travel overnight and attend meetings if required.
• Additional duties as assigned.
