Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead a claims team, ensuring quality, productivity and service standards while complying with company policies. This is a remote role with potential overnight travel for meetings and engagements.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in claims, and a valid Workers’ Compensation license or certification. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation required.
• Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation claims must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Supervises WC claims staff in day‑to‑day operations.
• Assists manager with recruitment, onboarding and staff proficiency.
• Ensures staff compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and reporting.
• Provides training, coaching and performance evaluations.
• Guides staff on complex compensability, investigations and service accounts.
• Acts as liaison for final resolutions with clients and employees.
• Participates in customer claim reviews and presentations.
• Willingness to travel overnight for meetings.
