Job summary

CorVel is hiring a Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead a claims team, ensuring quality, productivity and top-tier customer service in a hybrid/remote work setup. You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage complex claim issues while supporting department goals across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of claims handling experience, plus active workers’ compensation licensure and adjuster certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ claims handling experience.
• Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation claims must be maintained.
• State certification as a claims adjuster is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises WC claims staff in day-to-day operations.
• Assists Claims Manager with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding new staff.
• Ensures compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory reporting.
• Provides guidance on complex compensability, investigations and litigations.
• Leads training, coaching, and performance evaluations; recommends merit actions.
• Participates in customer claim reviews and presentations.
• Ability to travel overnight and attend meetings as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.
