Job summary

CP Engineers in New Jersey is seeking a Project Manager to join the water resources team. This role oversees the design, permitting, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities and pump stations, with ownership of scope, budgets, schedules, and client coordination.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental engineering degree, 8+ years of water/wastewater experience, and a New Jersey PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering with demonstrated project management responsibility.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing client-facing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle delivery including proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
• Provide technical oversight for reports, design drawings, and permitting documents.
• Direct permitting strategy and interaction with NJDEP and local authorities.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary project teams and manage resources.
• Maintain proactive client communication and strengthen partnerships.
