Job summary

CP Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead water resources design for municipal water and wastewater projects. You will work on treatment facilities, pumping stations, and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with NJDEP and EPA guidelines.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, delivering high-quality design solutions, and mentoring junior engineers while supporting CP's growth in the Water Resources Practice.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 6+ years of experience in water resources engineering
• PE license or on track to obtain within reasonable time
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations, EPA, CWA, and SDWA
• Experience with AutoCAD and technical report writing
• Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater facilities including treatment and distribution systems
• Perform feasibility studies for water resources projects
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, technical specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents complying with NJDEP regulations
• Conduct site investigations to support design and construction phases
• Lead regulatory permitting efforts and coordinate with NJDEP, EPA, and local authorities
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to Water Resources Practice growth
• Incorporate sustainability and best practices in project deliverables
