Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Vice President, Health IT Strategy & Transformation to serve as a senior consulting partner for our federal Health IT portfolio, advising on mission strategy and guiding enterprise modernization across the VA. This role requires a leader who can bridge strategy, transformation, communications, and execution, with experience supporting the VA.

This position is fully remote within the United States, with core hours 8am–5pm EST, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or MBA required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience spanning strategic management consulting, strategic advisory, enterprise transformation, strategic communications, or technology-enabled delivery.
• Significant experience advising senior executives and leading complex transformation efforts.
• Strong, established relationships with senior federal VA stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior federal health IT executives, translating needs into enterprise-wide modernization strategy.
• Lead enterprise-level transformation across operating model, governance, workforce, and technology change.
• Advise clients on digital transformation strategies, including AI adoption and responsible governance.
• Represent GovCIO's Health IT strategy and enterprise digital transformation to C-level stakeholders.
• Oversee delivery and operations for VA accounts, including staffing and quality.
• Build and maintain executive communications plans for large-scale transformation.
