Job summary

Branch Financial, LLC is seeking a Vice President, Finance to lead the financial health of the business. You will oversee FP&A, product finance, and business insights, turning company strategy into concrete financial plans and building a high-performing team of managers.

Reporting to the CFO, you will run the annual plan and long-range model, linking budgeting, forecasting, and strategic investments across departments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles, including 5+ years leading managers.
• Proven track record owning planning and forecasting for a business in a regulated environment such as insurance or insurtech.
• Deep knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics.
• Experience leading or collaborating with a BI or data team and leveraging data for decisions.
• Experience building, coaching, and growing teams of managers.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets, financial planning tools, and BI/reporting tools.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance financial metrics (loss ratios, expense ratios, combined ratios).
• Experience supporting board-level financial reporting, investor relations, and treasury management.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A, product finance, and business insights teams and align their work with company goals.
• Own annual planning and long-range financial modeling from start to finish; coordinate with CFO for final approvals.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis across departments (claims, production, underwriting).
• Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to executive teams; influence strategy and investments.
• Drive strategic finance work including business cases, growth pricing analysis, and scenario planning.
• Define reporting standards and ensure data quality for leaders across the company.
• Create company-wide planning and budgeting processes; enable department budget ownership.
• Identify trends and risks; propose early changes; partner with cross-functional leaders to connect finances to operations.
