Job summary

Branch Financial, LLC is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead FP&A, product finance, and business insights, translating strategy into actionable financial plans and long-range models. You will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across all departments, partnering with CFO and executives to guide investments and strategic decisions.

You will build and coach a team of managers, drive data quality and reporting standards, and present outcomes to the board and investors.

Qualifications

12+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles.
5+ years leading managers in finance.
Deep knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics.
Experience with BI/reporting teams and data-driven decisions.
Experience building, coaching, and growing teams of managers.
Advanced skills in Google Sheets and financial planning tools.
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics; MBA a plus.
Strong understanding of insurance financial metrics, including loss ratios, expense ratios, and combined ratios.
Experience supporting board-level financial reporting, investor relations, and capital and treasury management.

Responsibilities

Set direction for FP&A, product finance, and business insights teams.
Run annual plan and long-range financial model from start to finish, including process and timeline with CFO approval.
Oversee forecasting, budget tracking, and variance analysis across all departments.
Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to the executive and leadership teams.
Lead strategic finance work, including business cases, unit economics, growth and pricing analysis.
Oversee business insights, setting standards for reporting, metrics, and data quality.
Create and roll out company-wide planning and budgeting practices.
Spot trends and risks in results and market and recommend changes early.
Partner with Accounting, Actuarial, Product, Sales, Claims, and Data leaders.
Manage a team of 10 and develop managers and future leaders.
Prepare board materials, investor presentations, and shareholder reporting with CFO collaboration.
Partner with CFO and executive leadership in fundraising efforts.
