Job summary

The Standard seeks a Voluntary Employee Benefits Consultant who will partner with Sales, Underwriting, and Product teams to support RFP submissions, questionnaires, pricing discussions, and implementation planning for clients. The role covers Michigan, Northern Ohio, and Pittsburgh markets, with travel requirements.

You will build strong relationships with brokers and internal teams, lead product demonstrations, and drive market growth by leveraging your knowledge of voluntary benefits and

Qualifications

• 2+ years in voluntary benefits sales.
• Strong relationships with voluntary practice leads at national/regional brokerages in MI, OH, PA.
• Experience presenting to national brokerage firms on sales strategy and value propositions.
• Expert knowledge of voluntary benefits products: Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Cancer, Whole Life, Term Life.
• Experience with enrollment support and benefit administration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal departments to achieve production goals and ensure high-quality business.
• Establish partnerships with national and regional broker partners to drive growth of voluntary benefits.
• Present and demonstrate products to broker partners and clients to reinforce company vision.
• Deliver training to internal and broker partners to enhance product knowledge.
• Analyze market trends and provide feedback to inform corporate strategy.
