Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team. You will design and maintain complex production systems, manage large-scale deployments, and optimize Linux and OpenStack environments across thousands of servers.

The role requires VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and open infrastructure experience, plus strong scripting and documentation skills. Remote-friendly with competitive benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux and Windows at scale.
• Hands-on OpenStack in production environments.
• Experience managing VMware vCenter/ESXi at scale (HA, DRS, vMotion).
• Networking knowledge: L2/L3, VLANs, BGP, DHCP.
• Configuration management with Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
• Ability to write technical documentation.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex system architectures for production environments.
• Manage and support large-scale deployments in internal data centers.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of servers and VMs.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows; leverage AI where applicable.
• Troubleshoot hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident management.
