Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team. You will help design and maintain scalable production systems, and manage deployments across large data-center environments.

You will work with Linux/Windows, VMware and OpenStack, developing scripts to automate tasks and accelerate delivery, while participating in on-call and incident response processes. This role emphasizes AI-enabled automation and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Green Card holder status required.
• Experience with Linux/Windows and large-scale VMware environments.
• Hands-on OpenStack production administration experience.
• Proficiency with automation scripting (Python/Go/PowerShell).
• Knowledge of networking, DNS/HTTP/SNMP and OSI model.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex technical systems architecture for production environments.
• Manage large-scale deployments of servers and apps in data centers.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of servers and VMs.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows; apply AI to boost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and post-mortems.
