Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join the Production Services team. You will design, maintain, and optimize complex production systems, and manage large-scale deployments in internal datacenters.

The role requires Linux expertise, OpenStack, VMware, containers, and automation scripting (Python/Go/PowerShell). Remote work is supported; strong collaboration across time zones is essential.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Green Card holder status.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes at scale.
• Hands-on OpenStack management in production environments.
• VMware vCenter/ESXi management at scale (HA, DRS, vMotion).
• Networking knowledge (L2/L3, VLANs, bonding, BGP, DHCP).
• Configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Ability to write technical documentation.
• Experience applying AI technologies to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex technical systems architecture with improvement recommendations.
• Manage and support large-scale production deployments in internal datacenters.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of bare metal servers and VMs.
• Develop and improve scripts and automation tools (Python, Go, PowerShell).
• Troubleshoot server hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation with incident management and post-mortems.
