Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team. The candidate will design and maintain complex systems architecture, and manage large-scale deployments of servers and applications inside internal datacenters.

The role requires hands-on Linux administration across thousands of bare metal servers and VMs, plus expertise with VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, automation in Python/Go/PowerShell, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
• Experience administering Linux servers at scale and virtualization with VMware, OpenStack.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Scripting in Python/Go/PowerShell; automation and tooling experience.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
• Ability to document technical work clearly and concisely.
• Experience applying AI technologies to optimize workflows and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex systems architecture for production services.
• Manage large-scale deployments of servers and applications inside internal datacenters.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines.
• Develop and improve scripts, automation tools, and workflows — leveraging AI where applicable.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation with incident management responsibilities.
