Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team in the United States.

You will design and maintain complex architectures and manage large-scale deployments across internal data centers, ensuring robust and scalable infrastructure. Candidates will administer Linux systems, work with VMware, OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes, and develop automation tools with Python, Go, and PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux/Windows, VMware, Docker and Kubernetes at scale.
• Hands-on OpenStack administration in production and vCenter/ESXi management.
• Strong networking knowledge (L2/L3, VLANs, BGP, DHCP).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).
• Experience with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Go).
• Ability to document technical systems clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with AI technologies to enhance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex systems architecture for production environments.
• Manage large-scale server deployments and applications in internal data centers.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of servers and VMs.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to speed up operations (Python/Go/PowerShell).
• Troubleshoot hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
