Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team. You’ll help design, deploy, and maintain production systems across thousands of servers and virtual machines in a remote-capable role.

The role requires experience with Linux, VMware, OpenStack, and automation tooling. You’ll participate in on-call rotations and collaborate across distributed teams to accelerate secure, reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with CS focus or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux/Windows at scale in production.
• Hands-on OpenStack production administration.
• Experience with VMware vCenter/ESXi, HA, DRS, vMotion.
• Networking knowledge (L2/L3, VLANs, DHCP, BGP).
• Config mgmt tools: Puppet/Chef/Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex systems architectures for production environments.
• Manage and support large-scale deployments in internal datacenters.
• Administer Linux across thousands of servers and VMs.
• Develop automation scripts/tools (Python, Go, PowerShell).
• Troubleshoot hardware, hypervisor, and infra issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation with incident mgmt and post-mortems.
