Carrington Mortgage Services seeks a Vendor Management Supervisor to lead a team of Specialists in selecting, monitoring, and assessing third-party vendors across mortgage operations. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, SLA adherence, and ongoing staff development while working remotely from home.

The position requires 5+ years in mortgage servicing or related fields, with 3+ years in a leadership role, and strong contract and risk management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in mortgage servicing, auditing, finance, compliance, or vendor management.
• At least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven experience negotiating and enforcing vendor contracts and SLAs.
• Strong reporting and remote-team management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio).
• Ability to work independently in a national remote setting and manage vendors nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Vendor Management staff and set performance expectations.
• Monitor third-party vendor compliance with regulations and policies.
• Evaluate vendor adherence to contractual obligations and SLAs.
• Lead and coach Vendor Management staff and develop their skills.
• Maintain department policies, forms, and reports; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Analyze department reports and vendor management system to improve quality.
• Communicate performance results and training needs to staff.
• Oversee vendor risk assessment and due diligence documentation.
• Manage monthly vendor scorecards and address performance issues.
• Oversee annual re-certification packages and issue resolution for non-responsive vendors.
• Oversee onboarding and termination processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review exception reports and enhance reporting processes.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests as needed.
• Review on-site audit reports and track remediation plans.
• Manage escalated matters and escalate appropriately.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
