Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services, part of The Carrington Companies, seeks a Vendor Management Supervisor to lead Specialists in selecting, monitoring, and assessing third-party vendors for mortgage operations nationwide. You will enforce SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory compliance while coaching staff and maintaining procedures.

The role requires senior experience in vendor management, strong communication, and the ability to work in a complex remote environment managing vendors across the country.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Five (5) or more years in mortgage servicing, auditing, finance, compliance or vendor management.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a lead or supervisory role with two or more people.
• Experience establishing, negotiating, and enforcing vendor contracts and SLAs.
• Management reporting experience.
• Ability to work independently in a complex remote environment managing nationwide teams.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Visio.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Vendor Management staff; set performance expectations and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Monitor and assess continuous compliance of all third-party vendors to regulatory and internal policies.
• Evaluate vendors' adherence to contractual obligations and SLAs; address issues promptly.
• Lead and motivate staff; manage work distribution and professional development.
• Maintain department policies, forms, reports, training materials, and checklists.
• Evaluate department reports and vendor management system to maximize effectiveness.
• Review performance assessments with staff and identify opportunities for training.
• Oversee vendor risk assessments, due diligence, and compliance with requirements.
• Manage monthly vendor scorecards and address performance issues with stakeholders.
• Oversee annual vendor re-certification reviews and remediation with non-responsive vendors.
• Oversee onboarding and termination of vendors and ensure policy compliance.
• Review exception reports and improve reporting processes.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests.
• Oversee on-site audit reports and remediation tracking.
• Manage escalated matters and present to upper management.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
