Job summary

VIATechnik is seeking a VDC leader to own BIM/VDC for mechanical and plumbing projects across North America. This remote US role requires strong digital leadership, coordinating design through construction and guiding distributed teams.

You will build and mentor a high-performing VDC team, implement BIM standards, run clash detection, and partner with clients and trade contractors to improve constructability and outcomes. Strong experience with AutoCAD MEP or Fabrication CADMEP is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
• 5+ years of BIM/VDC implementation and training experience for plumbing/mechanical trades.
• Experience managing 2–3 detailers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end BIM/VDC execution for multiple MEP projects, ensuring models are coordinated, constructible, and aligned with construction sequencing from early design through the field.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing VDC team that can deliver consistent quality across concurrent projects and time zones.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and trade partners, using BIM insights to proactively resolve issues, guide decisions, and improve project outcomes.
• Advance BIM/VDC standards, training, and innovation by improving workflows, sharing best practices, and piloting new digital or AI-enabled approaches that raise efficiency and quality.
