Job summary

VIATechnik is seeking a Senior VDC Manager to lead enterprise‑level BIM/VDC projects for major GC clients. The role requires navigating ambiguity, managing a team of BIM specialists, and serving as the primary client contact to an enterprise account on the West Coast.

You will drive schedules, budgets, and bidding processes, while integrating Lean and BIM workflows across architecture, structure, and MEP disciplines, with US remote work supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or similar.
• 5-8 years of project management experience for a general contractor.
• 2-4 years of experience implementing BIM/VDC workflows on large, complex construction projects.
• Strong technical understanding of project management processes, tools, systems, workflows, and schedules.
• Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous VDC projects with scope, schedule, and budget control.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specs, submittals, and contracts.
• Leadership in coordinating teams and managing remote/cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Report to VIATechnik Directors and Studio Leads on VDC/BIM services.
• Manage VDC/BIM projects including 3D BIM creation, clash detection, 4D simulations, 5D cost analysis, and other VDC applications.
• Integrate BIM and Lean concepts to optimize VDC processes across trades.
• Serve as main contact and account manager to one enterprise client on the West Coast.
• Create detailed schedules, project plans, and budgets; identify planning gaps for clients.
