Job summary

Dutch Ridge Consulting Group, LLC seeks a Medical Coder for remote support of a federal VA client. You will code outpatient encounters using ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M guidelines, read health records in VA VistA/CPRS, and ensure HIPAA compliance throughout the coding process.

Requirements include 2+ years of outpatient coding, AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P or CPC/CPC-H), and VA experience is preferred for this remote role. Security clearance at Tier 1/Public Trust is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years outpatient coding experience.
• Credentialed coder (AHIMA or AAPC) required.
• Familiarity with VA VistA/CPRS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code outpatient encounters in accordance with ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M guidelines.
• Review documentation and assign accurate codes for VA health services.
