Job summary

Aptive Resources is seeking a Medical Record Technician (Coder) for a remote position supporting the VA Portland Health Care System. The technician will be responsible for accurate outpatient coding, including sequencing ICD-10-CM/PCS and other necessary codes.

Candidates must maintain an active coding credential and have a minimum of two years of outpatient coding experience. Strong proficiency in coding guidelines and experience with VA systems is required.

Qualifications

• Active coding credential must be maintained for the duration of the contract.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient coding.
• Proficiency with coding guidelines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient facility coding including various coding tasks.
• Access and review health record documentation in VA systems.
• Code all standard cases within required timelines.
