Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting multiple remote Medical Coders to support the VA Office of Veterans Community Care. You will review and translate medical records into standardized codes, ensuring compliance with VA coding policies and billing requirements.

Ideal candidates have a formal certificate program, at least three years of experience, and AHIMA or AAPC certification options. This remote role requires accuracy, knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and ability to perform coding QA

Qualifications

• Certificate Program required.
• Minimum of three years of experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC Apprentice/Associate Certification is one option.
• AHIMA or AAPC Mastery-Level Certification is another option.
• AHIMA or ACDIS Clinical Documentation Improvement Certification is another option.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate medical coding sets.
• Translate diagnoses, procedures, and services into standardized codes.
• Ensure compliance with VA coding policies and billing requirements.
• Utilize ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and other VHA-approved coding systems.
• Stay current on coding updates and CCN Next Gen-specific coding requirements.
• Perform coding quality assurance, audits, and discrepancy corrections.
• Prepare coding reports and participate in coding-related meetings.
