National University is seeking a School Certifying Official to advise students on Veteran Education Benefits (VEB), certify enrollment statuses to the VA, and liaise with university teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and customer service in a fast-paced, online and campus environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and/or its equivalent in work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience as an SCO, VEB specialist, financial aid specialist, or student facing position at an accredited college or University, or equivalent, is preferred.
• Experience with VA Once preferred.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise preferred.

Mansioni

• Evaluate requirements for the University’s receipt of a student’s military benefits by analyzing enrollment, financial records, and related documentation.
• Process VA enrollment certifications coordinating with Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Accounts.
• Interview students/veterans and coordinate benefits delivery with VA processing offices; update systems and reconcile records.
• Coordinate timely filing of VA documentation and safeguard records.
• Assist in development and revision of office policies and procedures.
• Reconcile all incoming payments and prepare deposits for the University Cashier.
• Attend relevant Military meetings/workshops and webinars impacting benefits and compliance.
• Troubleshoot student issues and assist in resolving complaints with funding sources.
