Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Tax Professionals and US Tax Law Experts to train and evaluate AI systems remotely under a contract. You will interpret US sales and use tax statutes, develop structured evaluation rubrics, and create test scenarios with precise criteria for AI outputs.

Strong statutory interpretation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail are essential. Prior AI experience is not required; you will translate tax requirements into objective evaluations and actionable

Qualifications

• Active CPA license, CA designation, or experience as a US tax attorney.
• Strong experience interpreting US tax law, especially sales and use tax.
• Ability to translate statutes into precise, testable criteria.
• Solid understanding of legal logic: conditions, thresholds, exceptions, defined terms.
• Precise, structured written communication required.
• Exceptional attention to detail in edge cases and exclusions.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfort with providing written feedback on tax/legal content.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret US sales and use tax statutes across jurisdictions.
• Analyze statutory subsections, defined terms, thresholds and exceptions.
• Develop evaluation rubrics breaking requirements into criteria.
• Assign severity levels based on legal significance.
• Review AI-generated tax interpretations against rubrics.
• Verify AI outputs capture conditions, AND/OR logic, and definitions.
• Create test scenarios with facts, dates, amounts, outcomes.
• Provide structured feedback through digital review platforms.
• Offer actionable insights to improve AI tax solutions.
