ABB is seeking a senior in-house counsel to lead Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties, governance, and compliance for U.S. entities, including regulatory filings and licensing. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the U.S.

Country Holding Officer on governance, risk, and strategic legal matters across M&A, and license-to-operate requirements. You will oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity, coordinating with internal audit and risk

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission and 10+ years in corporate/commercial law.
• Proven ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities, corporate governance, and operate in a decentralized org.
• Strong business-focused legal judgment with process improvement and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency in contract review, drafting, and negotiation; M&A; and corporate secretarial functions.
• Deep understanding of data privacy, U.S. government contracting, contractor licensing, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with finance, treasury, risk management/insurance; IP, antitrust, IS/IT matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accountability for Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and compliance for U.S. entities, including filings and licensing.
• Advise the U.S. Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, compliance, risk, and strategic legal matters affecting operations and growth.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with internal risk standards.
• Provide counsel on contracts and shared legal entity matters; supervise paralegals and collaborate with global Legal & Integrity centers of excellence.
