ABB Inc. is seeking a senior in-house attorney to provide comprehensive legal counsel on fiduciary duties, governance, and compliance for U.S. operations.

You will support the Country Holding Officer and senior leadership, handle corporate governance filings, regulatory matters, and complex negotiations to enable strategic growth while ensuring legal risk is managed effectively. The role covers data privacy, government contracting, licenses, and cross-functional legal support across business

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably in multinational manufacturing environments or top-tier firms.
• Strong governance, compliance, risk mitigation and legal operations experience.
• Proficiency in contract review, drafting, negotiation; M&A; corporate secretarial functions.
• Deep knowledge of data privacy, U.S. government contracting, contractor licensing, and related frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to support fiduciary duties and corporate governance for U.S. entities.
• Advise Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, compliance and strategic legal matters affecting business operations.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory certifications.
• Counsel on contracts, commercial agreements and shared legal entity matters; supervise paralegal staff and coordinate with global Legal & Integrity centers of excellence.
