Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Counsel to provide comprehensive corporate and commercial legal support for U.S. operations. You will drive fiduciary duties, corporate governance, regulatory filings, and licensing while advising senior leadership on risk and strategic matters affecting business growth and compliance.

The role requires a JD, US bar admission, and 10+ years in multinational settings. Remote work is supported, with a focus on governance, M&A, and data privacy across the United States.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission.
• Experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably in multinational manufacturing or top-tier firms.
• Strong governance and fiduciary responsibilities experience.
• Proficient in contract review, drafting, and negotiations including M&A.
• Knowledge of data privacy, government contracting, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accountability for Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties and corporate governance for U.S. entities.
• Advise the U.S. Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity; align with internal audits and risk management.
• Provide cross-functional legal support on contracts and shared legal entity matters; coordinate with global centers of excellence.
