Job summary

ABB is seeking a senior corporate counsel to lead Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties for all U.S. entities, ensuring governance, regulatory filings, and licensing compliance.

You will advise the U.S. Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, risk mitigation, and strategic legal matters including M&A and licenses to operate, while overseeing privacy, cybersecurity, and audits.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably in multinational manufacturing or top-tier firms.
• Proven ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities and corporate governance in a decentralized organization.
• Strong judgment in risk mitigation, process improvement, and legal operations optimization.
• Deep understanding of data privacy, U.S. government contracting, contractor licensing, and related regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accountability for Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and compliance for all U.S. legal entities.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the U.S. Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic legal matters including M&A and licenses to operate.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory certifications; align with internal audit, HSE, and risk management standards.
• Provide expert counsel on contracts and shared legal entity matters; supervise paralegal staff and collaborate with global Legal & Integrity teams.
