Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an underwriting professional for Meritain Health, a major employee benefits administrator. You will quote, price stop loss, and prepare financial projections for prospective and existing business, working with sales and client management.

This fully remote role supports Mid-Market and Captive/Alternate channels, requiring strong analytics, collaboration, and communication. A CVS Health incentive program accompanies the base pay.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of applicable medical insurance experience including brokers, carriers, TPAs, underwriting, rating methodologies or policy marketing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Collaborative and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on pricing and stop loss strategies to Sales and Client Management teams.
• Prepare and issue quotations and financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Develop financial projections using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies, negotiate terms based on claims data and cost-reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with leaders across functions to assess impact of custom requests.
• Manage data interpretation for fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external stakeholders and partners.
• Understand Meritain products and services and apply business knowledge.
• Support presentation development for customers and partners.
• Determine product mix with Sales to reduce total cost of care for sponsors.
• Assist sales and client management in explaining rates/fees and underwriting policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with sales, client management, and internal partners.
