Job summary

CVS Health is hiring for an Underwriting role within Meritain Health, a CVS subsidiary. The fully remote position supports pricing, quotations, and stop loss strategies for a large employee benefits book.

You will prepare financial projections, collaborate with sales, and present to clients and partners while leveraging Excel and Salesforce for analysis. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and medical insurance experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of applicable medical insurance experience (brokers, carriers, TPA, underwriting, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepare and issue quotations and financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Develop financial projections on prospects using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies, negotiate terms based on claims data and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with leaders across functions to assess impacts of custom requests.
• Interpret operational data for fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and partners.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Meritain products and services.
• Assist in presenting proposals to customers and partners.
• Work with Sales to determine product mix for proposals that reduce total cost of care.
