Job summary

ProAg Management, Inc. is seeking an Associate Underwriter or Underwriter to join our team in a remote USA role.

You will review annual policy documents to ensure compliance with FCIC and company guidelines, while building relationships with agents and internal stakeholders. The role emphasizes accurate rating, timely responses to broker inquiries, and collaboration with our underwriting staff to support policyholders across crop insurance programs.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant progressive professional experience.
• Previous agriculture or crop insurance experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review policy information for crop insurance coverage and proper rating.
• Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframe as underwriting resource.
• Verify policy rates using Risk Management Agency tools and ProAg quoting apps.
• Use automated underwriting systems to prepare data for new or renewal policies.
• Prepare quotations for agents and answer questions from agents or policyholders.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting directives and company policies.
