Job summary

CVS Health, through Meritain Health, is seeking an Underwriting professional for a fully remote role to manage a diversified book of business including Mid-Market and Captive/Alternate channels.

The role focuses on providing pricing guidance, preparing quotations, and performing financial analyses using Excel and Salesforce, with a strong emphasis on stop loss strategies and collaboration with sales and client management.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepares and issues quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business while meeting departmental TAT goals.
• Prepares financial projections on prospects utilizing financial models in Excel and Salesforce.
• Marketing and placement of stop loss policies, negotiating terms based upon claims data, strategy, relationships, and cost avoidance/reduction efforts.
• Works with leaders from key functional areas to understand potential impacts for custom requests.
• Manages and interprets operational data and applies to fee development and financial analysis.
• Presents to internal/external customers, constituents, and business partners.
• Displays understanding of Meritain products and services with strong business and systems knowledge.
• Develops and participates in presentations to existing and prospective customers, partners, and internal areas.
• Collaborates with Sales leadership to determine product mix on proposals that reduce total cost of care.
