Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks an Underpayment Analyst based in the United States. In a remote role, you will analyze hospital claims, identify discrepancies, and investigate underpayments to ensure accurate reimbursements.

You'll work with insurers and stakeholders to resolve issues and support revenue integrity. A comprehensive 90-business-day training program begins on day one, with hands-on learning, discussions, and practical exercises.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with healthcare billing systems and payer policies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances due to coding or policy errors.
• Contact insurers to obtain missing information and clarify decisions.
• Prepare documentation to support recovery including letters and appeals.
• Maintain records of investigations, outcomes, and trends for audit readiness.
• Apply Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policy guidelines to claims.
• Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to resolve issues.
• Participate in team meetings to suggest workflow improvements.
• HIPAA and regulatory confidentiality upheld in all activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
