You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and work with insurance carriers to ensure accurate reimbursements. The role includes a comprehensive 90-business-day training program and opportunities to improve workflows and outcomes within a collaborative team.

Qualifikationen

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, CMS regulations and state rules.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Aufgaben

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances by examining coding and billing issues.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and clarify payment decisions.
• Prepare documentation to support recovery, including letters, emails, and reports.
• Maintain records of investigations, outcomes, and trends for audits.
• Apply payer guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) to support recovery actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and insurers to resolve complex issues.
• Participate in meetings to improve workflows and recovery strategies.
• Uphold privacy, confidentiality, and healthcare regulations in all activities.
