Jobgether seeks an Underpayment Analyst to join a remote healthcare revenue integrity team in the United States. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and coordinate with insurance carriers to recover appropriate reimbursements. A 90-day training program supports success.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, applying payer policies, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive improved revenue recovery and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify payment discrepancies.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare/Medicaid and commercial policies and guidelines.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, CMS regulations, and state requirements.
• Experience with healthcare billing systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech) is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances by examining coding and billing issues.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and resolve underpayment cases.
• Prepare and submit documentation to support reimbursement recovery.
• Maintain records of investigations, trends, and outcomes for audit readiness.
• Interpret payer guidelines to support accurate claim assessments and recovery actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Participate in meetings to improve workflows and recovery strategies.
