Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Backend Software Developer to support USAF mission requirements. The role focuses on back-end design, API development, databases, and data modeling, with cloud integration and CI/CD tools. This remote position requires TS/SCI clearance and may travel 10–20% to client sites.

Role contingent upon award; internal profile TCS196, T4, Band 7. Maximus emphasizes security and scalable backend services across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent back-end web design and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development/communication, and system integrations.
• 3 years of experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.
• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly required.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.
